Upcoming luncheons scheduled

We’ve added a luncheon for our special librarians and one for our academic librarians this week to L2.

First up is the Special Librarians Luncheon: Sustainability & Social Responsibility on Thursday, April 22, 2010. The luncheon will be at Caterpillar, Inc. - Business Resource Center (Peoria) and the Caterpillar Sustainable Development Group will present a program on Sustainability & Social Responsibility. There will also be a roundtable discussion on "Pull vs. Push Information for our Customers". The focus of this discussion will be on what to deliver, how to deliver the information, customer preferences for delivery methods, etc. Caterpillar will lead off with samples of their projects, screenshots of websites if applicable, etc.Sign-up is through L2 at http://www.librarylearning.info/events/?eventID=9594

On Thursday, June 10, 2010 at Alliance Library System, we will host the Academic Librarians Luncheon: Information Literacy Assessment. Jennifer Sharkey, Coordinator of Information Literacy Instruction at ISU’s Milner Library, will present a program on information literacy assessment: how IL assessment improves performance, assessing IL across the curriculum, and best practices in IL assessment.
